This Privacy Policy explains how HomeCorner handles information when its private personal productivity, automation and seller-support tools are used.
Scope of this policy
HomeCorner has two parts. This policy governs the private automation tools described on the Tools page: personal automation features with Google and eBay integrations, used by authorised users only. The rest of this website is a public homelab journal; its pages are static documents and ordinary visitors reading it are not subject to the account-data processing described below.
Public website hosting and technical request data
The public pages of this website (the homelab journal) are hosted on Cloudflare ("Cloudflare Pages"), a third-party hosting provider. When any page is requested, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data, such as IP address, the time of the request, the requested URL, browser and device information, and connection details, in order to deliver the site and for security purposes such as protecting against abusive traffic. Cloudflare's security features may also set technically necessary cookies or serve challenge content for visitors, for example when filtering automated or abusive traffic.
The public pages themselves do not use advertising or tracking, and do not set any cookies of their own. This hosting-related technical processing applies to all visitors of the public pages and is separate from the Google and eBay account data described below, which is processed only for authorised users of the private tools who have explicitly granted access. Cloudflare is an independent third-party service and its own privacy policy and terms continue to apply to its processing.
Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@homecorner.uk.
Information accessed
Google account data
When authorised by the account owner, HomeCorner may access Google account information required for enabled features. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include basic account information, Gmail messages and message metadata, and Google Calendar events or calendar information.
eBay account data
When authorised by the account owner, HomeCorner may access eBay information required for enabled seller features. Depending on the permissions granted, this may include seller listings, item identifiers, SKU or inventory information, order and sales information, and fulfilment status.
How information is used
Google user data is used only to provide functionality requested or enabled by the authorised user, such as reviewing relevant messages, calendar information, reminders and personal organisation.
eBay data is used only to provide authorised seller-support functionality, such as reviewing listings, reconciling inventory, and reviewing orders or sales.
HomeCorner does not sell Google or eBay user data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train general-purpose AI models.
Authorisation and user control
Access to Google account data is granted through Google OAuth. Access to eBay account data is granted through eBay OAuth. The account owner controls the permissions granted and may revoke connected-app access through the relevant Google or eBay account settings.
Sharing and service providers
HomeCorner does not sell user data. Information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, automation or AI service providers only where necessary to provide requested functionality, maintain the service, troubleshoot faults or protect security. Such processing is limited to the purpose for which the information was provided.
Data minimisation and retention
HomeCorner is designed to access and retain only information reasonably necessary for enabled functionality. Information and operational records are retained only for as long as needed to provide that functionality, maintain the service, troubleshoot faults or meet applicable platform and legal obligations.
OAuth credentials and tokens are treated as confidential authentication material and are retained only while needed to maintain an authorised connection.
Account deletion and privacy requests
When HomeCorner receives an applicable eBay marketplace account deletion or closure notification, associated personal information will be deleted or anonymised as required by applicable eBay requirements and legal obligations.
A user who revokes Google or eBay access may also request deletion of retained account-related information using the developer contact details associated with the relevant HomeCorner OAuth application, or by writing to hello@homecorner.uk.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
Google API Services
HomeCorner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Third-party services
Google and eBay are independent third-party services. Their own terms, privacy policies and account controls continue to apply when their services are used.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when HomeCorner functionality, data-processing practices, or third-party platform requirements change. The last-updated date above will be revised when material changes are published.

If you email hello@homecorner.uk, your sender address, message content, and associated email metadata are processed by our email provider to receive your enquiry and by HomeCorner to respond to it. Please avoid sending passwords or access tokens by email.
